Is it ever too early to start decorating for Christmas?

A couple of years ago, Jimmy and I bought our Christmas tree (artificial) in October and decided to go ahead and put it up. We had some friends over a few weeks later and they thought we were totally weird.
This year, I've been champing at the bit to get ready for Christmas (only 3 gifts remaining to purchase and 5 to wrap!), but haven't forced the issue for fear of mocking.
Thanksgiving is tomorrow...I plan to have a winter wonderland by Sunday evening. The only problem is, I HATE dusting around all of the snowmen and santas. But, it's time for Cody to start experiencing the joy of the holidays and all of the beautiful red and green that goes with.
He's already pointing out every snowman he sees! It's so great.
Christmas number 2 is around the corner! I can't wait!!!!
Now, where's the best place to buy some of those lighted deer for the front lawn....
